ABOUT STOREY PLLC

ABOUT SCOTT A. STOREY

For over four decades, Scott Storey practiced in the litigation group of Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith.  He tried over 60 cases to verdict in 26 different jurisdictions. While many of the matters Scott handled involved energy law (oil & gas, solar, and wind), his litigation practice included insurance, products liability, real estate, malpractice, contracts, industrial espionage, personal injury, minority oppression, tax, family law, trade secrets, class actions, auto accidents, defamation, civil rights, employment, professional licensing, administrative law, trademark infringement, and environmental issues.  His range of legal knowledge led to his selection as Foster Swift’s first General Counsel in 2006.

Since retiring from Foster Swift, Scott’s practice is focused largely on energy law (solar, wind, and oil & gas) and mediation. As he served over 16 years as a law firm’s general counsel, he is also able to consult on matters unique to lawyers’ professional responsibility and the law of lawyering (legal ethics, malpractice, grievances, bar issues, and lateral hiring).
